Along the way, I had the privilege of sharing meals and stories with Greece's vibrant older generations, gaining valuable insights into their timeless wisdom on living well. Now, I'm excited to share my findings with you.
The word diet comes from the Greek word diaita, which means “way of life.” For many people following a diet translates to restriction or weight loss or following a rigid list of “yes” and “no” foods. But that is not the Mediterranean way. It’s a way of life. A mindset. Consistency over time. A focus on quality, real, whole, vibrant, plant-rich foods. And a lot of olive oil!
